Joshua Ruiz, substitute teacher who taught at two Upper West Side schools, PS 199 and PS 166, was among 26 people accused of swapping child pornography on Tuesday. Ruiz pleaded not guilty. A former dishwasher at Upper West Side eatery Alice’s Tea Cup was also accused. The dishwasher was fired earlier this year and never interacted with kids, the owner said. (Daily News)
The Trader Joe’s slapping case we wrote about was in court on Tuesday, with the lawyer for the slapper saying that the slap was not meant to cause harm, and her husband saying the doctor who was slapped was “arrogant” when she asked him not to pick on her child for blocking his path to pad thai.
