Con Ed outage map as of 8:33 this morning

By Joy Bergmann

FDNY responded to a smoking manhole at 461 Central Park West (106th Street) this morning at 4:09 a.m., FDNY officials said. There were no injuries.

As of 8:33 a.m., Con Ed’s outage map noted that at least one customer was out of power near that location; a “customer” represents a metered account which can mean a whole building or a single unit.

A Con Ed representative told WSR that, “lights are out at 465 Central Park West and Con Ed crews are on the scene.”

West Side Rag wants to hear from Upper West Siders throughout this heatwave. If you know about power issues in our area, please tweet info and photos to @westsiderag on Twitter or email tips to:  infoATwestsiderag.com .

225 West 106th(B’way) still has no power in several apts. One bank of elevators was knocked out for hours but is now restored. This is a huge old apt building so many people were affected.
