Someone created a tombstone for Donald Trump (photo below) and placed it in Central Park near Sheep Meadow. There is no date of death listed on the stone. The tombstone has the inscription, “Made America Hate Again.”
Congregation Shearith Israel, the landmark synagogue at Central Park West and West 70th Street has been attempting to build a community house and condominium next door for years, but lost a zoning appeal that will delay the project again. Neighbors and some preservationists say the building is too tall, and may press the issue in court. We last wrote about it in detail here.
Manfred Scharfstein, who went missing this weekend, has been found.
The Rodeway Inn on 71st street, where a robbery occurred earlier this month, has been a the scene of several other crimes too, including a rape and homicide. “Borough President Gale Brewer called the crime wave “pretty awful” and said in light of the statistics presented to her by The Post she will call on the 20th Precinct to “pay more attention to the site.”
More on the saga of street artist Hans Honschar, who got arrested in Brooklyn and had his pens confiscated. Honschar, who chalks messages and drawings on the Upper West Side, had some previous arrests, including one for criminal possession of a CitiBike.
