Police are looking for the man in the above sketch who they say tried to kidnap an 11-year-old girl on 61st Street and Amsterdam Avenue around 4:45 p.m. on July 31.

The man tried to grab the girl, but she pulled away twice, according to police. The man then fled South. He’s described as a white man between 40 and 50 years old, about 170 pounds with a mustache and a bump on his left eye. He was wearing a blue t-shirt and blue pants at the time of the crime.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477), go to www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or text tips to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
