Shaun White, the most decorated Olympic snowboarder in history, shredded it up in the Central Park snow this weekend.
White, who is nicknamed the “The Flying Tomato” for his red hair, was spotted jumping over comedian Shane Gillis during the storm on Sunday on Cedar Hill, which is within the park near East Drive and the 79th Street Transverse.

White is a five-time Olympian and a three-time gold medalist in the half-pipe snowboarding event. He also holds the record for most X Games medals, in which he’s won 23 across snowboarding and skateboarding.
“I took a photo of a random person with a snowboard outside my apartment today,” one resident who lives near Central Park wrote on X. “Turns out it was LITERALLY SHAUN WHITE.”
White was reportedly snowboarding in the park from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

…
That’s pretty cool
who else thinks that jumping over people is reckless and a danger to people’s safety?
I literally come to the comments to see the latest grumpy one like this 🙂
Omg can you stop being such a grinch and Debbie downer?!?
That’s the point. With the comedian they do different shows. And he’s literally the best snowboarder in the world.
Fun times!!! I bet it was fun for him, too, to just be playing and hanging out with other NY’ers! Olympians are people first, and we in NYC are used to running into them or other ‘celebrities’ in all kinds of places. Snowboarding in the park sounds especially fun. 🙂
