There are some days when I feel like the statue and other days I feel like the pigeon.

Hahaha. I know that pigeon!
When you have the choice — BE the pigeon.

Sometimes It’s OK to discriminate but be careful about what or whom!
I would like to thank Nancy & Sharon for their help with this one. Sometimes, it takes a village to make a cartoon.
Ah, the “NDM & SSM” — I had wondered about that. One mystery solved, 5,271,009 remaining.
This is completely tone deaf to the very real problem of people feeding pigeons and exacerbating the rat problem. Feeding pigeons is not a quaint UWS pastime.
Lighten up Bill it’s a cartoon.
Dear WestSideRag,
Can we get a Thumbs Down option?
Same, bro. Same.
Hilarious!
I guess in the end everything comes down to poop.
This is another great one! Pigeon poop kills elephants. Always good to wear a hat in the city! ❤️❤️❤️
Boids. Dirty disgusting filthy boids.
you used to be able to sit out on the stoop. Like a person. Not anymore. Boids.
Haha! But doesn’t that mean that you’re due some good luck?
If that one poops keep him away from Encore!
Nothing defines a city as well as its pigeons — except perhaps those who feed them.
Hope it brought luck!
Enjoying Gary’s wit even while far away in Italy!
💩 It’s not like it’s this.
Some days I really want to be a pigeon!🕊️🕊️
Been there myself. Getting tired of being the statue 🙁 As for feeding the pigeons…
“Come feed the little birds, show them you care
And you’ll be glad if you do
Their young ones are hungry, their nests are so bare
All it takes is tuppence from you” – The Sherman Brothers
TWICE in a matter of just under a minute, on a sunny day, under the huge trees of Verdi Square North Plaza, walking South to 72nd Street. I then went immediately to the Stationery Store and bought a TAKE 5 ticket. I won $136! I have gone back every single day to the square and repeated the exact same route, over and over since then, but the pigeons seem to be done with me now. Oh well….
I know it is supposed to be a sign of impending good luck…. I’ll take it! (But I still always carry around a paper towel or two in my back pocket just in case….)
