Waldo and partner should be aware, though, that tumbleweeds are not to be taken lightly — as we recall from that episode (“Cry of Silence”) of the original “The Outer Limits”.
I remember that episode. Are you an original-OL fan?
Quite so. I had/have the Milton Bradley board game, a few of the Topps trading cards, a handful of issues of the Dell comics, the books “The Outer Limits Companion” AND “The Outer Limits: The Official Companion” (never got a copy of “The Outer Limits at 50”, though, alas), and a full-scale Zanti misfit action figure.
My favorite episodes (in broadcast order): “The Galaxy Being”, “The Architects of Fear”, “The Man Who Was Never Born”, “Nightmare”, “The Zanti Misfits”, “The Bellero Shield”, “Second Chance”, “Moonstone”, “The Special One”, “A Feasibility Study”, “Soldier”, “Cold Hands, Warm Heart”, “Demon with a Glass Hand”, and “The Inheritors”.
Beats being stuck in traffic in the Hamptons. More space and quiet for tumbleweeds like me.
Bouncing to techno with the eight other people left in Manhattan. Oh, wait .,,
when the city becomes livable again
What does that mean?! .. So ugly with all the buildings covered in scaffolding. Restaurants serving loads of ‘junk-food’ . It ain’t the fabulous /innovative ‘Upper West Side’ it used to be!
Love this! So true, wait till August when our shrinks go away for a month.
The image in my mind is bowling balls, rolling down the middle of the avenues.
I am surprised Hampton Jitney does not have any UWS pickups.
