Multiple cameras were stolen last week in Central Park, police said on Wednesday night.
On May 31, a 34-year-old woman was using a camera and a tripod around 2:15 p.m. near West Drive and Terrace Drive, when a man approached her and swiped the equipment while the woman was distracted, police said.
He then fled the scene, NYPD added.
The next day on June 1, a 73-year-old man was using a camera near West Drive and the 79th Street Traverse around 1:30 p.m., when a man grabbed it out of his hands and ran away, police said.
There were no injuries in either case, NYPD said.
Police are looking for the same suspect in connection to both incidents.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s CrimeStoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

Nabbed? Nicked. Stolen. But nabbed?
Nabbed usually refers to a person rather than a thing, but it is a secondary definition. I would have preferred nicked, but the meaning was conveyed nonetheless.
Brings me back to William Safire’s columns.
What’s wrong with nabbed? Anyway, I hope the dude is nabbed and punished and that the nabbed items are returned.
Acceptable usage.
Notice. Look very closely at the perpetrator. Maybe somebody recognizes they/them…
I’m a native NY and will remain here. It’s my home. But I am heartbroken over the crime and robberies that continue to happen. Innocent people are being victimized. I’m sick of it.
Hopefully his photo will lead to his arrest and to the return of the photography equipment he’d robbed. Look carefully, everyone, perhaps you’ll recognize this brazen criminal.
It looks to me like he’s wearing a wig. BOLO for a skinny guy fitting this description but with short hair. If it’s not a wig, well he’ll be easy enough to recognize.
I would be at home shaving my head if I were him.
