The 20th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001 was filled with emotional ceremonies, some of them silent.

Danny Daly caught a ceremony at the 83rd Street firehouse at 8:46 a.m., when the first plane hit the North Tower:

And Meg D’Incecco took pictures of another local ceremony:

These pictures are stunning, and especially moving, given that I am sure a fair number of the men and women at the ceremonies were too young on 09/11/01 to remember the events
