Lincoln Center’s free Restart Stages arts fest is well underway and there will be a lot more of it in August, including jazz concerts with Branford Marsalis, spoken word and poetry events, and dance workshops for kids and adults. Film at Lincoln Center will be showing classics like Do the Right Thing too.

It’s important to start checking out the calendar ahead of time, because you can start signing up for events two weeks in advance and they can fill up quickly because crowd sizes are capped. To sign up you have to either download an app or call a reservations number. The number is 212-875-5456.

So go to the Restart Stages website now and start browsing.

Actually, there’s no need to sign up early – tickets are ultimately assigned by lottery, so it doesn’t matter if you enter the lottery early or late.
