The West Side Comedy Club is bringing comedy to the streets — specifically the street outside its door — as part of the city’s Open Culture program.
The shows will take place on the nights of April 21-24, mostly at 7:30 p.m., right outside the doors of the club on 75th between Amsterdam and Columbus. They’re selling tickets for $25 at westsidecomedyclub.com. “All shows will follow strict COVID guidelines, socially distanced, masked, contact traced, and limited to small amount due to space constraints,” the club said
Another club, Stand Up NY at 78th and Amsterdam, has also gotten creative with its comedy shows, holding some in parks or on trains. Standup has begun holding shows inside as well since state guidelines started allowing it a few weeks ago.
