CMC Youth Outdoor Orchestra.

The Chamber Music Center of New York is holding a concert by the CMC Youth Outdoor Orchestra at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday beside the Ellington in the Park Cafe around 106th Street inside Riverside Park. “We are in masks, physically distanced by 6 feet and our woodwind players are using woodwind bags to keep the aerosols contained,” CMC founder Mary Jo Pagano tells us. “(Much research has gone into this project!)”

And the Glenn Crytzer Quartet, which plays music from the 20s, 30s, and 40s, is also holding a socially distanced concert in in Central Park on the green just north of West 86th Street and Central Park West. The concert will be on Saturday at 4pm. This Facebook page has more on the event.

What day this weekend is the CMC concert? The article says 4pm, but not whether it’s Sat or Sun.

The CMC Concert is today, Saturday, at 6pm!

Woodwind bags: Come to the performance and you will see. A friend of mine is making them. She would be happy to sell them to you too. (-:

Woodwind bags can be purchased online. CMC had a seamstress make them based on the online bags.
