Defund means to reduce the police budget, not eliminate it.

No actual Webster says …..prevent from continuing to receive funds.

Also the manifesto BLM has put forward clearly says all

Here’s an idea lets do test run in Chicago, as the mayor there has been very vocal in this being the answer. Ok 18 people were killed in one day with police on the streets just recently, what do you think will happen with out them?

People are watching too much Fox News. “Defund the police” is NOT about eliminating the police department, it’s about balancing funding more effectively between the police department and social service departments. For example, who should be first on the scene when an autistic adult is having a public meltdown? When it’s the police, the autistic adult is at an extremely high risk of being shot and killed. When it’s a social worker, the situation is likely to be managed better.

It’s crazy someone can stab two people to death like that in the hallway of an apartment building and just get away with it (up until now at least).
