NYPD detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the two individuals pictured here. According to NYPD, the individuals were in the vicinity of 868 Amsterdam Avenue on Thursday evening around 8:40 p.m. when two people were found stabbed in a hallway there.

A NYPD spokesman Saturday morning said the victims’ identities could not yet be released, saying only that both a teenage boy and 36-year-old man died from their wounds. No arrests have been made.

The individuals seen here are wanted for questioning, NYPD said. Anyone with information in regard to their identities is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or on Twitter @NYPDTips. All calls are strictly confidential.

When I first signed on and saw this photo I thought I was looking at an ‘update’ of a crime report from last summer. It’s so depressing because it seems never ending. Condolences to the family of the victims.

So sad this in the Douglass houses right after Just Sam and her incredible achievement. Not that this takes an iota from that. Just awful.
