Two Upper West Side roommates created a web series called “Roommating” that showcases the neighborhood and the joys of UWS apartment-dwelling.
The comedy by director and creator Alexandra Dell follows two roommates, Nick and Vivian: “one is broke; the other is broken-hearted. They pretend to be married and go to marriage counseling together, as part of a study to make money, so that he can pay the rent and she can move on in her relationships.”
The series has been featured in several film festivals, and is available on Youtube and Vimeo. Check out the website here, watch the trailer below, and see the whole series here.
Looks as boring as real life people.
Was that necessary? These people are artists, working hard and making sacrifices to produce something they hope will be enjoyable for many and meaningful for some. They will undoubtedly read the comments here and it’s really a shame that you had to be such a “glass bowl.”
FWIW, Alexandra, I watched the trailer twice and bookmarked your website. I think it looks charming and well acted, and I love that I recognize so many of the locations. I look forward to watching it!
Thanks for the support Kat! I like your use of the phrase “glass bowl”. I hope you enjoy it.
Hey Roger – I’m not familiar with boring people in NYC, though perhaps we haven’t met 🙂
Bravo! Looks great, can’t wait to check it out.
Thanks! Hope you enjoy it. You’ll notice a lot of familiar places 10023!
Just watched it. It’s adorable. Great characters, acting, writing, I’m hooked.
Thanks so much Anna. We are so glad you enjoyed it!
Looks great and congrats and making your art. I plan on watching the series and hopefully it gets picked up by Netflix, etc!
Thank you Frank for planning to watch. Getting grassroots support is the first step. And we love the UWS so it’s fun and to make it part of the series. Thank you for your support!
I watched five episodes and was left wanting more, well done!
Thank you Djcuws. That’s the goal, so thanks for letting us know! We want to do more too. I appreciate the comment.
I’m so glad I happened upon this! It looks so well done and I can’t wait to watch the rest!
