Turkish restaurant Turkuaz was a landmark on the Upper West Side for 18 years before it closed down this past summer. But there’s good news for fans of the restaurant — Turkuaz is now back, this time in Midtown West, at 255 W. 55th St. (between Broadway & 8th Ave)!
The menu is filled with both authentic Turkish dishes and has also some Mediterranean salads and flavors. It is a great option for both vegetarians and lamb-lovers.
Turkuaz delivers up to 80th Street and has experience catering corporate events and events at residences.
Among appetizers are hummus, cacik, haydari, eggplant salad, babaghannosh, zucchini pancakes, stuffed bulgur and calf’s liver.
Entrees consist of various kebabs, and traditional dishes like vegetable casserole with lamb, stuffed cabbage with ground lamb.
Home made desserts like pistachio pudding, rice pudding, baklava and milk custards make a great finale to a fulfilling lunch or dinner.
Turkuaz Restaurant is open every day of the week, from 11am-11pm. Turkish beer and wine are served at this location. Take-out and delivery is available. Catering packages can be inquired.
