Police are asking for the public’s help to find the man shown in the photo and video. He’s wanted in connection to two recent robberies in the 20th precinct.
On Tuesday January 23, at about 01:50 a.m. in front of 155 West 60 Street, “the individual approached the 21-year-old female victim and asked her the time. When the victim gave him the time from her watch the individual indicated he wanted the time from her phone. The victim immediately moved away from the individual, who then followed her and punched her in the face. The victim fell to the ground, got up and ran away from the individual. The individual fled the scene on foot eastbound on 60 Street, empty handed.”
The second incident occurred the following day at about 7:30 p.m. in front of 54 Riverside Drive. “The individual ripped the 73-year-old female victim’s purse from her shoulder and fled northbound on Riverside Drive. The victim’s purse was recovered in the vicinity of 80 Street and Riverside Drive. The individual removed approximately $200 in cash from the purse.”
The suspect “is described as a male, black, in his 20s, 5’7″ to 5’9”; last seen wearing a blue hooded coat, black pants and black sneakers.
