A literary festival is coming to Riverside Park on Saturday, allowing you to bask in the sun while learning and improving your writing. AmpLit is from 12 to 5:30 p.m. at Pier I at 70th Street.

AmpLit Fest brings together New York’s finest literary talents in one all-day event to celebrate writing through readings, panel discussions, and writing workshops, with the Hudson River as its backdrop. Participants include award-winning writers like Katie Kitamura and Emily Holleman, and recent debuts such as Miranda K. Pennington and Jeannie Vanasco. An up-to-date list of events and participants is on our website: https://www.lamprophonic.com/amplit-fest-2017/

Please limit comments to 150 words and keep them civil and relevant to the article at hand. Comments are closed after six days. Our primary goal is to create a safe and respectful space where a broad spectrum of voices can be heard. We welcome diverse viewpoints and encourage readers to engage critically with one another’s ideas, but never at the expense of civility. Disagreement is expected—even encouraged—but it must be expressed with care and consideration. Comments that take cheap shots, escalate conflict, or veer into ideological warfare detract from the constructive spirit we aim to cultivate. A detailed statement on comments and WSR policy can be read here.
