You think your rent is high? One Upper West Side property just hit the market for $100,000 a month!
Nope, not a misprint. The mansion at 15 West 68th Street is asking $100,000.
So what do you get for all that scratch?
How about six floors, eight bedrooms and 14 bathrooms in 15,000 square feet of indoor space.
Want more? How about lounging around in the 2,450 square feet of outdoor space, including a garden, roof deck and two terraces. Yes, there’s a hot tub on the roof deck.
What, not convinced yet? What about the 12 fireplaces and elevator to zip you from one floor to the next?
Still not convinced? Maybe this helps: The library has its own bathroom in case nature calls while you’re reading the great works. And there’s a dumb waiter in case the elevator isn’t fast enough.
Brown Harris Stevens has all the details. Oh, and remember to invite us over once you cobble together the security deposit.

Honestly , too much space in my opinion . Who needs the headache !
I wouldn’t pay a penny over $99,000 a month for that place!
The bathroom in the library IS tempting!
Talk about a “porcelain reading room!”
is it furnished?
I’d jump at the chance if not for my current lease on my 500 sq ft place. If it’s still around in 8 months….
I want an intelligent waiter.
Too much for me to clean! I’ll pass.
Why are you showing us this?
You don’t have to look.
Who cares?
You don’t have to look either.
I appreciate the post – I think it is interesting and entertaining. If this was all they ever posted, I wouldn’t be happy, but once in a while, I think it is fun. If you don’t like it, move on. Thanks, WSR!
so i live right by this spot and it went through years of renovations. Prior, it looked like it was a vacant building.
for a short while it had a for sale sign up. That went quick. Surprised its being used as a rental. Lets see how that works out.
I really appreciate this post because I’ve wondered what was going on with this space I saw so much work go into and then nothing really happen with… Also love seeing the pics of the inside and what money gets you in this neighborhood.
Yeah…..No thanks! To be honest, as beautiful as this space is, and the fact that it’s in the city, still does not justify all that money! It just seems fiscally irresponsible, no matter how rich you are, to rent this space and NOT consider it to be throwing your money away! 2-year’s rent from this place will get you an awesome house anywhere in the country! In fact, 1-year’s rent will get you a pretty nice house anywhere! It’s a whole lot of opulence and not enough return on the investment. Yeah, this house is for the one’s who need to make themsleves feel good inside by parading a place like this to their friends.
