Local council members are looking for ideas for spending $1 million in the neighborhood. The latest round of “Participatory Budgeting” has begun.
To be eligible, projects must be:
*Physical improvements or equipment (and not staff or programming)
*Located on City property, like parks, schools, or public housing
*Cost at least $35,000
Here’s what won in her district last time.

Seeing all of the concern in other threads about school quality, fund raising, etc., how about spending it on schools and helping out some of the schools that can’t fund raise as well?
If there’s tax money that is not budgeted for anything,why not just return it to the taxpayers?
