PHOTOS OF THE DAY: REVOLUTIONARIES WALK AMONG US

hamilton cast

Actors from the hit musical Hamilton were walking around the neighborhood Sunday morning in full revolution-era garb as they prepare for the Tony Awards Sunday night at the Beacon Theatre. The actors above appear to be ANthony Ramos, who plays John Laurens and Philip Hamilton, and Okieriete Onaodowan, who plays Hercules Mulligan and James Madison. (Please correct if we’re wrong!)

“The energy in the neighborhood is fantastic this morning as the prep for the Tony awards ends,” writes Chantal, who took the photos above and below. “And the cast of Hamilton are walking around our neighborhood!”

Hartford, really? Is there a big world-class theater district on I-84 we’ve been missing for a century?

They have a specially configured bike lane behind the Beacon to accommodate their events.

Yes, why would the Tonys be held in another city? Broadway is here, not in Hartford.
