Put out your garbage as soon as possible, as pickup is occurring on Thursday evening instead of Friday morning, according to a notice placed on some blocks (but not all) in the area. Joseph Bolanos, who sent this in, said this affects blocks from 59th to 79th streets.
Update: The sanitation department says that it didn’t post the notice, although “There may have been some slight changes to collection times in certain areas.”
I hate when people write “garbages”. The plural of garbage is still garbage.
Just curious, who prepared this flyer? Is it official?
It’s not on any kind of letterhead and the quality of the writing is pretty frightening.
“garbages”?
Along Columbus they have removed all the trash cans days ago. However, they left all the recycle cans, so lots of people dumping trash in them instead. I get it they removed them for safety reasons coming up, but odd to remove the trash cans but leave two other large recycling cans. Don’t see the logic in that.
This sign is not legit. Aside from not being mentioned on DOS’ website, as pointed out ,,, there is official NYC Department of Sanitation Seal on the letter head.
there is ‘NO’ official NYC Department of Sanitation Seal on the letter head.
