POLICE RELEASE IMAGES OF TACO-TRUCK ROBBERY SUSPECT

January 24, 2015 | 6:51 PM - Updated on June 5, 2022 | 11:30 PM

The Super Tacos truck on 96th street and Broadway was robbed last week, and police have released images of the man they think committed the crime. At 1:40 a.m. on January 15, a man held up the workers at gunpoint and stole $120 and the earrings of one of the workers. He’s described as being 21-26 years old and about 5’6″.

Canada Goose huh? Struggling for cash? Maybe don’t buy an $800 coat stupid a$$. Probably put it on the credit card and has to pay it off now. That’s a nice clean photo. Guaranteed this guy is caught within a week or so.

Think a guy like this actually bought that coat? More likely robbed someone or a store. Clearly this sorry excuse for a man takes what he wants. Robbing the taco truck, what an ass.

I hope the police have good facial recognition software to match him up with his existing mug shots or his Facebook page.

Huh? i never understand the impulse to point out a slender possibility. More than meets the eye? Sure, maybe, or maybe this is a guy who robs a taco truck and blows someone else’s money on crap like an overpriced coat.

I wonder where he lives. If he’s in the NYCHA system his entire family should be evicted.

really? if he’s living with his mother? or with a girlfriend and kid? talk about collective guilt.

fyi, I think there is an existing rule against felons in NYCHA houses. I can’t imagine that applies to innocent family members.

what are people thinking when they write this sort of stuff?

Geoff, I don’t think there is a huge market for knock-off Canada Goose. I would guess this guy also has all the latest Apple products and the best athletic footwear money can buy.

there are tons of recent thefts of Canada Goose jackets…my friend was followed to her brownstone and up the steps and robbed of her jacket and cell phone….luckily that is all that happened

I would guess that if he were concerned about being Stopped & Frisked, he’d be far less likely to carry around a gun, and therefore far less likely to rob the taco truck. Do you care, Mayor? Are you listening, City Council?

I’m impressed with the clarity & high resolution of those surveillance camera photos. Whatever kind of camera they use should be the standard for all security cameras at ATM”S , bodegas, stores etc. Many times violent crimes are caught on camera but the video is to blurry to be of any value. I hope he is caught soon.

I agree with you MDL!

It astounds me that the 24th precinct has these three images of their suspect in a $120 robbery, while the 20th precinct has released ZERO images or suspects for the truck that ran over a mom walking her son to school, then drove off. Why are they not laser-focused on catching this hit-and-run driver?

Leave it to the lefties to always come to the defense of the criminals.

Never a word about the victims. never.

I was once on Broadway around 92nd street where a mugger robbed and ruffed up a guy at the ATM – the police tackled and caught the robber in front and there is some lefty screaming at the cops about the crooks rights, Meanwhile the victim was on the sidewalk nursing his wounds.

Unbelievable, but sadly not really unbelievable on the UWS.
