You may have seen artist Barbara Nessim’s illustrations on the cover of the New York Times Magazine or Rolling Stone. This Thursday, you can hear her discuss her work at the Bard Graduate Center’s Gallery at 18 West 86th Street.

Nessim will provide insights about her art, the world of professional illustration, and her career as an educator. Her talk begins at 6:00 p.m. Admission is $25 or $20 for seniors and students.

This program is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Barbara Nessim: An Artful Life, on view through January 11, 2015 at the Bard Graduate Center Gallery. See a video about the exhibition below.

About the BGC:

The Bard Graduate Center’s Gallery exhibitions, MA and PhD programs, and research initiatives explore new ways of thinking about decorative arts, design history, and material culture. Located in New York City, the BGC is an academic unit of Bard College.
