Shakespeare in the Park kicked off last week with performances of Much Ado About Nothing, a romance starring Hamish Linklater and Lily Rabe. It’s a three-hour production (which includes the 15-minute intermission).
To get tickets, wait in line, apply online or pay to become a supporter. (The Public Theater tells us that most tickets are still given away for free rather than sold to corporations and patrons.)
Public Fare, the food station at the Delacorte Theater, has also opened. It’s open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Sadly, the virtual line ticket system has been plagued with problems this season. It was down for a good part of yesterday morning and is down again this morning. Notification emails weren’t received for the first few performances, but it seems to be fixed now. Still hoping to be chosen.
What nights does the play take place?
I won tix through the lottery on Sunday night. The show is great!
I won tickets through the online lottery yesterday. I highly recommend this production. That was their final preview last night, and if it is any indication, they will have a big hit on their hands. Stellar performances throughout, especially Rabe and Linklater!
