Manhattanhenge? This year or last year? I think it was too cloudy this year and the tv stations had no photos of this at all.

I took the top photo. It was this year, on Friday night. Thursday was too cloudy, but Friday ended up being beautiful despite the rain! There was a pretty big group of people gathered at 72nd and Central Park West.

I guess they rescheduled last week’s Manhattanhenge because of the poor weather. Thanks, Mayor Bill and team!

Columbus Circle is fast becoming a disgusting visual, auditory and olfactory assault on visitors and locals. Someone should take photos of the area. It is gross and disgustging, and no one is doing anything to fix it. Overflowing garbage cans, overwhelmed with stinking halal stands, and loud amplified music, makes this once pretty area into a hellhole.

I took the 7 bus uptown from 18th st today. Sad sad sad.! Crowded, dirty, scaffolding everywhere, cracked streets and sidewalks, as you say, trash cans overflowing. People eating as they walk. Garbage all over…
Around the statue and gorgeous flowers at Columbus Circle, a huge 11 foot disgusting wire fence circling it. Why??? Who’s watching out for our City?
