A nanny walking with two children in Central Park near Tavern on the Green was assaulted Tuesday afternoon around 12:30 p.m. by a man who hit her butt and then grabbed her, according to police. Another woman reportedly intervened and the attacker ran off, CBS reported. Tavern is inside the park just off of Central Park West around 67th street.
“The nanny was walking with two children, when a man raced up to her, smacked her backside, and then grabbed it. Another woman who saw what was happening intervened. The suspect pushed her away and then took off.”

I never feel really safe in Central Park even in the day time, except around the Zoo. I would never walk under any of the transverses or along the roadways that cross the park it is too risky. People can come out of no where and attack you.
It’s NYC you always have to keep your eyes open and be aware of your surroundings. That means no cell phones, ears phones, I-pads or anything electronic that someone might want to steal.
