A man in a New York Jets shirt attempted to rob five banks on Friday, but ended up coming up empty at most of them, police said.
Police are looking for the man above, who they say is a suspect in the series of attempted robberies on Friday.
He tried to rob the Chase on 96th and Broadway first, at around 12:50 p.m. on Friday, but the teller wouldn’t give him the money, according to the Daily News. At a bank on 61st and Broadway, the teller pulled a silent alarm and he fled. He attempted two more robberies in midtown before a successful robbery at a Capital One on 37th street and 5th, the News reported. He apparently wasn’t armed, according to NBC, which reported that two of the robberies were successful (the Daily News had said one).

Thanks to David for the tip about the 96th street robbery on Friday.
Glad he was unsuccessful and nobody got hurt. But, really? He may want to find another line of work. He’s not too good at this.
Was he looking for Tim Tebow?
Boychik, turn yourself in.
Oy.
Is there really a Chase bank at 96th & Broadway? I know there’s a Citibank .. .
