Meanwhile, Mario Batali’s foundation is helped open a new library for at-risk youth on Thursday: “Books for Kids (BFK) together with the Mario Batali Foundation are excited to announce the opening of another new Books for Kids Library. This library is located at the Goddard Riverside Day Care Center at 114 West 91st Street.,” says the Goddard press release. “To be able to help children read…to give them this fundamental building block to a successful life is remarkable. I am ecstatic that my foundation is able to help create a Books for Kids library and champion literacy programs for all children in need,” said Mario Batali.

Our primary goal is to create a safe and respectful space where a broad spectrum of voices can be heard. We welcome diverse viewpoints and encourage readers to engage critically with one another’s ideas, but never at the expense of civility. Disagreement is expected—even encouraged—but it must be expressed with care and consideration. Comments that take cheap shots, escalate conflict, or veer into ideological warfare detract from the constructive spirit we aim to cultivate.
