Traffic could be a mess today as Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing and other NBA greats host a fundraiser for President Obama at the Time Warner Center. More than 100 people reportedly paid $20,000 to attend the event. The President is expected to arrive in New York around 6 p.m.
Update: Obama is expected to be at Alice Tully Hall at 7, and the 65th Street transverse road is expected to be closed in Central Park. “Every ave.from 1st to Fifth and CPW to Columbus Ave. can expect ‘freezes,'” tweeted Gridlock Sam.
The M66 bus could also be suspended, says the Lincoln Square BID.
“Avoid the East Side, Central Park and FDR Drive south of East 96th Street between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.” says Fox NY. Obama is expected to make his way back to the Wall Street heliport around 10 p.m.

…just so long as I can skateboard when the Central Park roads close at 7pm. I’m tempted to pay the $20k to be out exercising on a nice evening…
I told these dudes it was cool, as long as they don’t make it a regular thing.
