It was great to meet and chat with new and old friends at our one-year anniversary event on Wednesday night at The Parlour. Some of you are featured in the photo above taken by a friendly waiter. Sorry to those who left before the picture, or arrived afterward. One thing we all seemed to agree on: we need to hold more face-to-face events!
Tonight, Linda Rosenthal is hosting a meeting about mosquitoes to address residents’ concerns about what appears to be a spreading problem on the Upper West Side. It’s expected to be a particularly bug-filled summer in the city. More on the meeting here.
The main part of the New Taste of the Upper West Side food festival is actually on Friday and Saturday, not Thursday and Friday as I had initially posted. Apologies. The post is updated and there are apparently still tickets available.

Lincoln Center is opening the new Claire Tow theater on the roof of the Vivian Beaumont Theater to showcase the work of emerging playwrights and actors in its LCT3 program. Tickets will cost just $20. (NY Times)
