A quick reminder that the food fest “New Taste of the Upper West Side” is this Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and there are still tickets available to many events, including a vegetarian extravaganza at Dovetail, a Comfort Food tasting smorgasbord, and the main event: the Best of the West tasting, with 40 chefs participating.

Food and Wine has a sneak peek at some of the vegetables people will consume at the vegetarian event, including “Coach Farm triple cream cheese with truffles and grapes.”

General admission tickets range from $95 to $195. VIP tickets are already sold out. The proceeds go to benefit the Columbus Avenue BID, which plans to undertake a big beautification project on Columbus this summer. An IS 44 greenhouse project and Citymeals-on-Wheels will also benefit.
