Thanks to everyone who sent in photos for our one-year anniversary photo contest. We’ve posted five shots we received and ask that you vote at the bottom for your favorite (the name of the person who took each photo is below the photo). Voting will close at 8 p.m. on Wednesday. The winner receives a bottle of olive oil that was given to us by Sambuca, the restaurant on 72nd Street.

And remember to join us for a drink starting at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Parlour on 86th Street.

Nice shots, a bit off topic but was wondering what is the name of the diner-looking place that is featured on the main page intro for this post. Looks like the type of place my wife would love. While the menu says Coffee Shop, that is in Union Square and while I’ve never been in it I don’t think the interior looks like that.

I’m casting my vote for Ms. Kerr’s photo of the snow on the trees. I’m while I’m at it, why must we have that rusting hulk of metal in the river? It’s can’t possibly be good for the river
to have tons of slowly rusting metal slowly seep into the water. Would anyone want to eat a fish caught in those waters? Just a thought. Thanks.
