News:
Preservationists are anxious about the Cathedral of St. John the Divine’s continuing plans to develop its property in order to raise funds. One residential building is already up on the cathedral grounds and another is on its way. A landmarking debate at the cathedral has dragged on for years. “It’s just very unfortunate that what was a beautiful open space is now going to be taken up with some commercial development,” said Christabel Gough of the Society for Architecture of the City.
