The Bloomberg administration has banned outside donations to homeless shelters from organizations like Ohab Zedek, an Orthodox congregation on the Upper West Side, says local Jeff Stier, an OZ member. The city says it can’t determine the nutritional content of the donated food. (NY Post)

Rats do indeed eat cars. They made a nest in our Mini Cooper and rode around while we parked. They did quite a lot of damage by eating the wiring. The thing that works is a bag of smelly stuff you buy at the hardware store.
