March 6, 2012 Weather: Sunny, High of 42 Degrees.

Notices:
The community board is meeting to vote on the big Upper West Side commercial rezoning proposal tonight at 6:30.

News:
James Harmon, the Upper West Side landlord whose case to end NYC rent regulations is being considered by the Supreme Court, has a rent-stabilized tenant paying $1,000 a month with a  home in Southampton. “The Harmons effectively have been financing the approximately $1,500 monthly mortgage payments on the Long Island home of one of their rent stabilized tenants.” The city and state’s responses to the lawsuit were due yesterday.
