With record rain having already fallen on New York City over the weekend, and more to come, it’s time to take off our pants and hang them up to dry — and then pause and reflect in our underwear.

That feels better, doesn’t it?

Above, check out a picture that ace Upper West Side photographer Michael Huitt sent to us today to share with all of you (click it to enlarge). He took it from above 73rd Street and Columbus Avenue on Sunday. Summer rains are so darn colorful, aren’t they?

Okay, put your pants back on.

For more of Michael’s photography, check out his website. For his amazing shot of Manhattanhenge, click here.

Please limit comments to 150 words and keep them civil and relevant to the article at hand. Comments are closed after six days. Our primary goal is to create a safe and respectful space where a broad spectrum of voices can be heard. We welcome diverse viewpoints and encourage readers to engage critically with one another’s ideas, but never at the expense of civility. Disagreement is expected—even encouraged—but it must be expressed with care and consideration. Comments that take cheap shots, escalate conflict, or veer into ideological warfare detract from the constructive spirit we aim to cultivate.
