On Tuesday at 8:17 p.m. the sun aligned perfectly with Manhattan’s East-West street grid, a semiannual occurrence known as “Manhattanhenge“. Luckily, a really, really talented photographer was around to record the moment in all it’s glory. Upper West Sider Michael Huitt, of Michael Huitt Photography, took this shot down West 72nd Street. He also tweets @michaelnyc. If you missed it, don’t worry. Manhattanhenge makes another appearance on July 12.
