News:
The chairman of the New York Historical Society bought an original set of notes to the Constitutional Convention by New York delegate John Lansing and donated it to the society. It is planning to show them starting Nov. 11 and will make the notes available for digital use. (New York Times).

The New York Times editorializes against a crackdown on musicians in Central Park:  “This is New York, a very big noisy place that should not be forced to keep quiet.” (New York Times)

The Dwight School has a nifty greenhouse on its roof where students grow food for a hunger bank. (West Side Spirit)
