He was born in Brooklyn. He lived in Hell’s Kitchen. He made Seinfeld from Los Angeles and still lives out on the Lame Coast.
But Larry David, the crotchety co-creator of Seinfeld, belongs to the Upper West Side, now and forever.
And he’s back.
The first episode of Larry David’s current season of Curb Your Enthusiasm broadcasts on HBO at 10 tonight. Much of the season is set on the Upper West Side. Larry himself was in the city this weekend and spoke along with his co-stars at the 92nd Street Y on Friday night, where the above photo was shot.
Numerous scenes were filmed on location in the Upper West Side last year, at locations like Isabella’s and elsewhere.
If you see the show tonight (unfortunately I don’t have HBO), let me know what you think.
