City Councilwoman Gale Brewer, Congressmen Jerry Nadler and Charlie Rangel, and other top politicians are rallying today at 5 p.m. against the co-location of the new charter school Upper West Side Success Academy at Brandeis High School on 84th Street. The rally is at Brandeis (145 West 84 Street, between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues). They must be sensing some weakness at the Department of Education, as lawsuits and opposition to the school continue.
