News:
The number of children who score high enough on tests to be considered for the city’s gifted and talented Kindergarten programs has skyrocketed, mostly in District 2 and District 3 (Upper West Side). Nearly 5,000 children qualified this year, more than twice as many as four years ago. There are only about 400 seats available. (NY Times)

Given the increasing competition for seats in gifted Kindergarten programs, test prep services are flourishing. (NY Times)
