West End Labs, the new life sciences center at 125 West End Avenue (West 66th Street) has signed its first tenant, according to a report in Commercial Observer. Graviton Bioscience, a developer of treatments for autoimmune diseases has agreed to a 10-year, 30,000-square-foot lease.
The nearly 100-year-old, industrial building has been fully renovated and the exterior entirely recladded. It most recently housed the radio operations of ABC/Capital Cities, but was originally built in the 1920s by the Chrysler Corporation as an automotive showroom and repair facility. In between, it was owned by The New York Times, supporting its printing plant, which used to sit on West End Avenue from 62nd to 65th Streets.

That building has the worst sidewalk I’ve ever seen in my life. It ungulates in multiple directions all at once. It’s hazardous in just so many ways. If I was a personal injury lawyer I would stand out there handing out business cards.

Are you implying that the way safety measures are being enforced are not kosher.
