Pandora put together a neighborhood-by neighborhood map of musical tastes, and the Upper West Side’s top musical genres will probably confirm all of your stereotypes about the neighborhood. But there’s nothing wrong with that, and it’s time to be proud of who we are.
According to Pandora, Upper West Siders like:
Classical
Yoga
Toddler
We will not change our playlists to conform to whatever nonsense the kids are listening to! Unless they’re our kids…

pandora is garbage
The fact that there is a “Yoga Channel” tells you all that you really need to know.
Know what’s playing on my Pandora app? Nothing! That’s because Pandora is a joke. You pay your 40 bucks a year and ask for a certain type of music (say reggae) and they still bombard you with Justin Bieber. Subscription canceled with extreme prejudice.
I guess there aren’t any Pandora subscribers in the projects.
Perhaps there are many Pandora listeners in the projects and they all listen to classical, yoga and toddler music…stereotypes confirmed by music AND comments….
Well that’s the problem right there, the 1% of UWS-ers who still use Pandora over Spotify, so these metrics are way off.
