Eataly Caffè, an Italian cafe owned by Eataly, the restaurant and marketplace brand, will open on November 6th at 2252 Broadway (at West 81st Street). This will be Eataly Caffè’s fourth New York City outpost, joining locations on the Upper East Side, Hudson Yards, and Midtown. Eataly Caffè will offer complimentary mini hot chocolates and flower bouquets on opening weekend, plus special gifts for the first 100 guests.
The menu includes coffee, espresso, cappuccino, sweet and savory pastries, and Roman-style pizza, among other items. “We are thrilled to bring our Eataly Caffè concept to an iconic corner of Broadway and West 81st Street,” Craig Kennedy, president of Eataly North America, said in a statement. “Eataly’s story in North America began in New York City 16 years ago, so opening another concept here in Manhattan is especially meaningful for us. We can’t wait to welcome the Upper West Side community this November and share our authentic Italian caffè experience with them.” Starbucks was previously in the space before closing in October 2025.

Adobo Mexican Grill, a fast-casual Mexican restaurant, at 2675 Broadway (at West 102nd Street), rebranded as Taco Tek on October 1st, a manager told West Side Rag. The menu has largely stayed the same, offering burrito bowls, tacos, quesadillas, and desserts like churros and tres leches cake. Taco Tek also features separate menus for kids and catering. The restaurant opened in September 2025. (Thanks to Ian for the tip.)

Dunkin, the donut chain, has signage up at 33 West End Avenue (at West 61st Street). This will be Dunkin’s tenth location on the Upper West Side. The donut chain has not yet responded to the Rag’s outreach asking for an expected opening date, but we will update when we have more information. Greenland Pet Shop was previously in the space. (Thanks to Edi for the tip.)

Blu Café, a coffee shop, at 120 Riverside Boulevard (at West 66th Street), is temporarily closed for renovations. Blu Café serves coffee, juice, smoothies, pastries, croissants, breakfast sandwiches, omelets, and salads. Blu Real Estate, which owns the cafe, has not yet responded to the Rag’s inquiries about the renovation and reopening date, but we will update once we have more details. The space first opened in 2012 as a combined real estate office and cafe. (Thanks to Jean for the tip.)
