I love that the hat makes it into every cartoon — even if it’s not on his head!

Never realized how to spell this, shvitzing. I have used the word so many times. PS: spellchecker does not like it !

Somewhat ironically the words of OutKast apply today: You can plan a pretty picnic but you can’t predict the weather.

Great to be hatless, but not heartless, in this weather!

And shvitzing, of course, leads to kvetching, and a lot of “Oy veys!”

This might be a perfect time to consider a change of hat, from the one that makes your character look like an old prospector from an 1800s gold rush, to, say, a Greek fisherman’s cap, which most UWS old-timers wore when I moved here in the 1980s. Just a suggestion.

hahahaha! I love how Gary has created such an iconic character – and I don’t ever use that overused word lightly – that we’re shocked, shocked I say, to see his head. Everything here captures the sweltering heat palpably & endearingly.
