Interested in a free hot dog?
On Saturday, Gray’s Papaya at the corner of West 72nd Street and Broadway is giving away 1,000 free hot dogs to “dog dads” in honor of Father’s Day on Sunday.
To get one of the free hot dogs, show up at the Upper West Side institution beginning at 11 a.m., either with your dog or a photo of your dog. You’ll also have to tell the cashier the code word: “Wiener Dog.”
Gray’s Papaya is hosting the giveaway in partnership with Brutus Broth, a bone broth company for dogs.
The 1,000 free hot dogs are on a first-come, first-serve basis and will given out for as long as supplies last.
“Dog Moms have been celebrated forever, and they deserve every second of it,” Brutus Broth’s Julia Lauria wrote in a news release. “But Dog Dads? They have been the unsung heroes of the leash for way too long. So we are declaring this Dog Dad Summer and kicking it off the only way that makes sense: 1,000 free hot dogs from Gray’s Papaya.”
