A man was stabbed Saturday afternoon on the Upper West Side, a police spokesperson told West Side Rag.
A 61-year-old man was stabbed in the left arm around 3:30 p.m. near Riverside Drive and 94th Street, the spokesperson said.
The stabbing took place after some sort of dispute, according to police, but the specifics were unclear as of Sunday morning.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition, and the attacker fled the scene, NYPD said.
There have been no arrests as of Sunday morning and the investigation remains ongoing, police added.

Mamdani will save us!! 🙄
I hope you’re joking 🙃 Ped
He could actually, Mayor Mandani could give President Trump a 3rd term.
Your comments get more ridiculous by the day
Mandani says he is a socialist but if read what he writes and listen to what he says he is a communist. New York City the capital of Capitalism run by a Communist. If you don’t think this could anger the rest of the country and result in President Trumps 3rd term you are not paying attention, if not him Don Jr.
That would be great!
yes Obama could run again too!
That would be unconstitutional.
FDR
World War II. Trump will be lucky if he makes it three more years. He dozes off and is insane as all heck.
Didn’t realize the mayor of New York City could change the US Constitution that is incredible!!
How would Mandami charge the Constitution to allow that?
Incredible, he’s not even mayor and already getting blamed for crimes.
Who blamed him? incredible🤭
How do you think a Mamdami administration will reduce crime?
No police or cameras ever on the UWS.
That’s right, the UWS has been certified by the Interstate Commerce Commission as being absolutely 100%, pharmaceutical-grade empty of police and cameras. Everyone knows this.
Hmm another stabbing on the UWS? I thin it’s time that we vote for change
No more republicans like Adams.
That’ll lower crime for sure!
Well, NYC’s highest ever annual murder rate was in Rudy’s last year in office.
That was because of The World Trade Center. That was a truly horrible statement, even for you.
Mamdani will have the social workers handle it.
Does Alvin Bragg view this stabbing as a crime? We won’t know until the person is caught and the facts are uncovered. Remember the Bodega incident? Self defense. We don’t know yet.
we must control gun violence.
Not a crime just a utensil error
NYC’s draconian gun laws prevent yet another violent crime.
Remember, guns don’t kill people. Knives kill people!
The stupidity of many of these comments is ridiculous – as if there could be a policeman on every block at all times. The article suggests that this wasn’t a random act, but that doesn’t matter, right? I guess crime needs to disappear completely, so we can gripe about other things that will never change.
I appreciate the NYPD. Please do not vote Mamdani in — we do not need to have NO police in NYC. We actually need MORE, not LESS, officers. They need our support. God help NYC if Mamdani gets in.
I think NYC needs Mandani, It’s like parents would do years ago if they caught their kids smoking, make them smoke a whole pack until they got sick and never wanted to smoke again.
Learn to spell his name correctly. That would be a start.
it was worse in the 70s!
Except for the fact that life was affordable.
Why was it affordable? Back then people got 50 cent coffees instead of 5 Starbucks a day. People would cook more, instead of eating out or getting restaurant deliveries. You didn’t have to have a dog — a huge expense. We had phones at home, which were more affordable than cell phones seem to be. You might have had pierced ears, but not your whole body, plus the tattoos. It wasn’t a requirement to smoke marijuana or vape something. If priorities are in place, we could make our own lives a little more affordable……
And let’s not forgt the biggest ripoff of all time: bottled water.
You’re a 55+ year old who gets 5 ($5?) Starbucks a day, eats out all the time, HAS TO HAVE a dog, carries an unaffordable cellphone, pierced not just your ears but your whole body and covered it with tattoos? And you’re being required (by a higher power?) to smoke or vape something?
And you live on the UWS?
Thank you for adding a little sanity to this discussion.
Could we get some kind of basic IQ test people need to pass before they post here?
I have had many posts censored. So there is definitely someone reviewing posts. They let so much garbage through (much of it repetitive) yet censor posts that are thoughtful, kind and informative. WSR generally does a great job but is incredible inconsistent with its censorship.
Sorry you feel that way. We do our best to keep the posts relevent to the story.
Wondering why the social workers did not stop this!
Was this the one at hippo playground?
On Riverside Drive and W 94th Street? Pretty close to there.
Why is this being reported on like it was some random stabbing? They were having a dispute and thought it should be handled like this. (Not condoning it though.) The headline reads like we should all be scared we’re next when we just live in a big city and this stuff happens all the time. Just pay your drug dealers on time, kids.
I had the same question. Seeing the word “random” 6 times in the article, while being certain that it’s a “drug deal, kids” left me feeling so warm and fuzzy about yet another innocent stabbing in the City – which apparently happens all the time.
Blaming Mandami ? 2% of registered voters voted in the primary. You get what you vote or rather fail to vote on. This is how DeBlasio got in twice. Voter apathy
That is incorrect. The turnout was more like 15% of registered voters.
Still statistically insignificant. I have a feeling the turnout this November will be especially large.
I thought that was a low percentage.
Also, Christine Quinn told people not to vote for her in the 2013 primary as soon as she shepherded Bloomberg’s illegal 3rd term through the City Council in 2009.
No description of the perp or the victim? Hmmmm…..
A man was stabbed and these are the comments???
The usual right wing dingbats are out in the comments.
Anyone with an opinion different from your our scares you.
