The Columbia Summer Tennis Camp at the Milstein Family Tennis Center (MFTC) has been in high demand, as the air-conditioned indoor courts have offered a welcome reprieve from the uncooperative weather. The camp has been a resounding success this season, with a combination of premium facilities, performance coaching, and catered lunches delighting campers and their families.

In addition to the six indoor courts at 603 West 218th Street, the Columbia Summer Tennis Camp also features six outdoor courts. There are still daily and individual spots remaining for the final six weeks of the camp — July 7 to August 15. The camp will be off the week of June 30 to July 4.

For more information about the Columbia Summer Tennis Camp, please visit www.columbiasummertenniscamp.com, or contact Tim Heath at th3158@columbia.edu or 917-689-2944.

The MFTC also has open court rates available for public play on the indoor and outdoor courts, with rates starting at $25 per hour for outdoor play and $45 per hour for indoor. There are also private and group lessons available.

The MFTC is located at 603 West 218th Street and is easily accessible from the #1 Train station at 215th Street; there is also free parking on site. Please call 212-851-7100 for information about court reservations and lessons.

Our primary goal is to create a safe and respectful space where a broad spectrum of voices can be heard. We welcome diverse viewpoints and encourage readers to engage critically with one another’s ideas, but never at the expense of civility. Disagreement is expected—even encouraged—but it must be expressed with care and consideration. Comments that take cheap shots, escalate conflict, or veer into ideological warfare detract from the constructive spirit we aim to cultivate.
