This summer, the park becomes a stage—and you have a front-row seat.
New York Classical Theatre is back on the Upper West Side for its 26th season, bringing a fresh, fast, and free production of All’s Well That Ends Well to Central Park’s West 103rd Street entrance. Directed by NY Classical’s Founding Artistic Director Stephen Burdman, this rarely performed Shakespeare gem delivers a comedic love story full of twists, wit, and second chances—with a heroine who refuses to play by the rules.
Performances run in Central Park June 3–22, and as always with NY Classical, there are no tickets, no lines, and no barriers—just professional Off-Broadway theatre in the open air. Arrive when you like, stay as long as you want, and let the story unfold around you.
And this isn’t just Shakespeare—it’s Shakespeare with a UWS twist. This year’s Central Park run features three special themed nights that make the experience even more fun:
- Dog Night – June 4: Bring your pup for treats and swag bags by Zoomies, photo ops in matching Elizabethan ruff collars, and chances to win prizes from Puppy Tale Lodge.
- Family Nights – June 12 & 21: Arrive early for crafts and crowns with PLAYDAY and performers from Circus Academy New York, then stay for a story the whole family will enjoy.
- Pride Night – June 20: Start with a pre-show happy hour at VERS in Hell’s Kitchen, then join the festive caravan uptown for a night of celebration and theatre under the stars.

This summer’s cast includes Anique Clements as Helena, Paul Deo Jr. as Bertram, Carine Montbertrand as the Countess/Widow, Karel Heřmánek as Parolles, Angelique Archer as Diana/Dumaine, Briana Gibson Reeves as Lavatch/Dumaine, Nick Salamone as the King of France, and Clay Storseth as Lafeu—a joyful mix of familiar favorites and new talent, performing for and with the NYC community.
All’s Well That Ends Well is one of Shakespeare’s least produced comedies—and that makes this the perfect opportunity to see it up close, in your own backyard, with a fresh, accessible interpretation that’s as moving as it is entertaining.
Theatre begins at 7:00pm nightly (except Mondays), with pre-show activities starting at 6:30pm on special nights.
Reservations are free and encouraged (you’ll get weather updates and a digital program), but walk-ups are always welcome.
